Hammond’s Plains and Indian Brook locations

Shift work position available – for training and on-call job opportunities

This position is under the direction of the Gaming Commission VLT Manager. The employees are responsible for all VLT maintenance, keeping the gaming rooms tidy, and all monies throughout their shift. This position is for the Hammond’s Plains and Indian Brook locations.

Specific Accountabilities:
 Must have reliable transportation for shift-work
 Opening/Closing of gaming rooms
 Cash VLT tickets
 Cleaning and counting money from VLT’s
 Cleaning and maintaining gaming VLT machines
 Clear gaming machines as necessary
 Reconcile daily cash & payouts
 Responsible verifying float
 Financially responsible for float (shortages)
 Perform shift change paper work
 Keep gaming room clean and tidy
 Make coffee for customers and kept area tidy
 Enforce Company rules & regulations as required
 Work in a friendly manner towards the public
 Be courteous to customers
 Good communications with management
 Other related job duties

Core Competencies:
 Must have minimum grade 10
 Must be at least 19 years of age
 Must be dependable & trustworthy
 Previous financial experience an asset
 Ability to deal with public in a pleasant and helpful manner
 Must pass a Criminal Record’s Check, submitted with application
 Must be bondable
 Must be reliable & responsible
 Familiar with math concepts of adding, subtracting, & multiplying
 Willingness to work on short-term notice
 Preference given to a Sipekne’katik band member, but not limited to
