Mawikuti'k is hosting its 4th Annual Freedom Day. They welcome all to celebrate and honour the strength and resilience of Indigenous Residential School survivors.

Starting at the Mi'kmaq Memorial Site in Shubenacadie, family members and community supporters will march 1km to the town's River Park.

10:00 am - Opening Prayer and 1km March

11:00 am- Feast and BBQ at River Park

12:00 pm - Cultural Performances

1:00 pm - Open Mic

2:00 pm - Closing Ceremony
