RE: Winter Food Security Disbursement
Due to the ongoing postal strike, the Sipekne'katik Finance Department would like to provide an update on the Winter Food Security Disbursement. Please be assured that we are actively monitoring the situation and preparing as best as we can. More details are provided below.
Direct Deposit
We encourage anyone who selected cheque mailed to consider receiving it via Direct Deposit instead. If you would like to opt for Direct Deposit for your disbursement, please send an email with your name, band number, and copy of a void cheque to christmas@sipeknekatik.ca.
Local Pick Up
If you are local and would prefer to pick up your cheque at Sipekne'katik Band Office, our local pick-up date will begin on Wednesday, December 4th at 9am-3pm at the Band Office 2 front reception. If you are having someone else pick up your cheque, please send an email with your name, band number as well as the individual’s name. We are not able to provide the cheque to another individual if this information is not provided.
Outside Canada
We are currently working on solutions for our members residing outside of Canada and will provide updates as they become available.
